Black History Month 2024 Day 8: John Gibson

Thanks to the Ken Burns documentary series on "Baseball," I came to learn about Josh Gibson. One of the greatest sluggers ever and I do mean ever. Died at 35 of a stroke shortly before integration of the Big Leagues. Racism is a public health crisis. When you see how Jackie Robinson's health declined prematurely, there is no doubt that, racism is indeed a public health crisis. God bless all those individuals who faced extreme opposition from their fellow Americans, based on skin color. My congressional campaign honors all.
