"We are killing ourselves and the babies of other mothers. I don’t care how old you are. I can always see anyone as the precious and innocent baby they were when they were born. I speak to that spirit. I run for Congress to proliferate this form of compassion."


An excerpt from an interview just completed for The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing magazine. Due to hit newsstands everywhere at the end of April.


We ran the gamut from UMich and JHU alum Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-IL) creating the Black Maternal Health Caucus in 2019 to trach cuff downsizing traumas to how does one go about initiating the creation of a Harriet Tubman Monument on the National Mall? We also discuss fortitude in the face of the Democratic Establishment Machine and why our problems as a nation seem to be on rinse, wash, repeat.
